You've heard of credit cards that pay you cash back for purchases, now there's a Web site that will do the same for shopping at online retailers you may already use, CBS station WBZ-TV reported.
Kristen Deevey gets paid to buy things for her family, like a box of Halloween treats she bought for her kids.
She got them at a discount and she'll get cash back, thanks to
shopathome.com.
"It's really easy to use," she said.
Think of it as a gateway to thousands of coupons and cash back offers.
"I can type in a specific name of a vendor or store and will look to see whether or not they have a cash back option," Kristen explained.
Recently, she got seven percent back from Barnes and Noble and five percent back on everything she bought at Target.
"We get a check in the mail every quarter, based on the amount of purchases," she said.
Last quarter, the check was for $60.
"It saves a little money here and there."
Shopathome.com also boasts a massive selection of printable grocery coupons, WBZ-TV reported.
Founder Mark Bronstein says the site offers coupons for about 60,000 different products and services.
"We're not the only supplier of coupons, we just are one of the easiest ways to find grocery coupons," he explained.
"You just type into our search engine what brand you want and the appropriate coupon will come up."
The site also offers free samples, restaurant discounts and offers free shipping to many online retailers.
Bronstein claims the typical family of four can save about $2,000 a year using the site.
