Kidnapped Girl Held Captive For 18 Years

Jaycee Lee Dugard, snatched on her way to school, was kept hidden from the world behind a series of fences, sheds and tents for nearly two decades, even giving birth to her suspected abductor's children in the Antioch, Calif., backyard compound less than 200 miles from the home where she was taken.

Philip Garrido appears in court Aug. 28, 2009, to face charges of kidnapping and rape of Jaycee Lee Dugard. He pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
